After entering the second consecutive NASCAR Cup Series race as a massive favorite, Shane van Gisbergen won the Toyota/Save Mart 350 on June 28 at Sonoma Raceway. The road-course specialist was taken out in an early pile-up during last week's street race at Naval Base Coronado.
